SMT Verification Limited was incorporated in 2019 by Teja Gonuguntla CPEng with a goal of being a specialist Structural, Mechanical and Transport Engineering consultancy. SMTV has grown into a successful multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy specialising structural, mechanical, transport, civil and infrastructure projects and in New Zealand and Australia.

During our journey of over 2000+ jobs we have added services to include engineering Civil, Infrastructure and Architectural projects. We strive to deliver innovative and practical solutions across New Zealand and Australia and Pacific Islands. With proven expertise in civil design, roading, storm water management, flood modelling, waste water and water supply networks. Some of our esteemed clients include Kiwirail, Mercury Energy, New Zealand Steel.

Director

Teja is a Chartered Professional Engineer in New Zealand and Australia with 14 years’ experience across structural and mechanical engineering, design verification, and management, delivering innovative solutions across complex projects.

Balaji Karnan

Senior Civil Engineer

Balaji is a Chartered Professional Engineer with 13 years’ experience in civil infrastructure and transport projects across New Zealand, specialising in stormwater, wastewater, roading, and resilient design solutions.

Sreesudha Pattisapu

Senior Structural Engineer

Sreesudha has 15 years’ experience in structural engineering across India and New Zealand, with expertise in civil design, structural analysis, and advanced software tools, delivering durable, efficient, and practical solutions.

Sachini Silva

Quantity Surveyor / Draftswoman

Sachini holds a background in construction economics and drafting, with experience in cost management, estimating, and AutoCAD. She supports accurate budgeting and detailed documentation across multidisciplinary engineering and architectural projects.

Sushmitha Gonuguntla

Administrator

Sushmitha brings 8 years’ international experience in engineering administration and operations, with a strong technical background in chemical and industrial engineering, supporting SMT’s project management, client coordination, and business efficiency.

Prasanna Chittibomma

Civil Engineering Technician

Prasanna has 6 years’ experience in civil engineering support roles across India and New Zealand, providing technical drafting, construction documentation, and design assistance to ensure quality and accuracy on projects.

Akash Narayan

Lead Architect

Akash is an NZIA member and Licensed Building Practitioner with 6 years’ experience in architectural design, specialising in residential and commercial projects, consent processes, and delivering functional, aesthetic, and sustainable solutions.

Nikit Patil

Mechanical Engineer

Nikit has 9 years’ experience in mechanical engineering across India and New Zealand, specialising in heavy equipment design, modifications, and advanced CAD applications, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable engineering outcomes.
